This is a taken from the Parish Register for Baptisms in Deddington, Oxfordshire, and shows how Naomi was incorrectly recorded as Nehemiah. Poor Naomi was then recorded as Maria on the ship's passenger list when the family sailed for America in 1830. It's not until the 1850 census return in Niagara that we see her correctly recorded as Naomi. |
