| The above photograph entitled "BUFFALO HARBOUR" was taken in the 1890's by the photographer J Knibbs, showing a scene of Buffalo Harbour, East London, Cape Province at around that time. The photograph was contained in an album which was purchased at auction in England in 2004. The album dates from around 1890 and contains many photographs collected by the original owner whilst on a world cruise. The ship stopped at Cape Town where two J KNIBBS photographs were purchased and added to the collection. |
