1876-1962

Born in Clifton, Oxfordshire but moved to Basingstoke, Hampshire, England in about 1900, a few years before he married Evelyn Butler from Warwick. He worked for the Great Western Railway Company at Basingstoke railway station until retirement.

George and Evelyn are pictured here in the mid-1950's outside their house at No.3 Phoenix Park Terrace, Basingstoke which is where they lived all of their married lives.
