158 Coppermine Road, Farmington

This Queen Anne style house was built during the 1890's by Joseph Wesley Knibbs (1869-1949), a mason by trade, at around the time he married Mary Francis Wetherby. The land was originally purchased by his father, James Knibbs in 1866.  James had sold part of  the land  in 1872 to a fellow English immigrant, George Buckingham. and a separate part to another neighbour, Ezrah C Ayer. In 1894, the land went full circle and was sold in it's entirety, back to James Knibbs and his son Joseph.
James quit-claimed his joint title to the property to Joseph in 1897. After Joseph died in 1949, the property was broken up among his heirs.
