Ann (Knibbs) ROOT, 1852-1915 |
A family gathering from about 1907 in Connecticut, probably at Southington.
The lady in the front row, second from the right, is Ann KNIBBS. She is
identified on the reverse as "Grandy Roberts Root". This photograph is taken during her second marriage to Orville A ROOT who is
sitting next to her. Pictured in the back row, right hand side is Howard
ROBERTS, her 4th son from her previous marriage to Elijah ROBERTS. The other
lady is Howard's wife Frances Theresa CARGILL. The little girl is Eva M ROBERTS,
Howard and Frances' daughter. Eva was born in April 1906 which helps us to date the photograph. The other three men in the back row are (left to right) Gaylord CARGILL Sr and Jr, (Frances' father and brother), and Arthur ROBERTS, Ann's youngest son. Photograph courtesy of Lee Walter |
