This
family
started
with James H KNIBBS, b.1819
in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire,
England
who
emigrated some time shortly before 1850. He settled at first in Maine where he
met his wife Mary S RATCLIFFE. They Lived in New Hampshire and Massachusetts
before eventually settling in Massachusetts. They had three children. The oldest
settled in Massachusetts but the two younger ones went to California. James married a second time to Mary C POWERS and they had three children in Massachusetts but so far, I've been unable to trace them. |
