Will of Florence Norton (Oakeshott) KNIBBS, 1895-1969


LAST WILL AND TESTAYNNT. 

I, the undersigned, FLORENCE NORTON KNIBBS 
(Born OAKESHOTT), presently of East London, Cape 

Province, do hereby make and execute my Last Will 

and Testament as follows. 
                                1. 
I hereby revoke, cancel and annul all 
former Wills, Codicils and other testamentary acts 
heretofore made or passed by me, desiring that the 
same shall be of no force or effect whatsoever.

                                2. 

I direct that upon my death, my gold 
horseshoe diamond-studded brooch shall devolve 
upon my daughter, MARGARET RUTH JACKSON (Born Knibbs) 
as her sole and absolute property, and I direct 
further that she shall have the choice to retain 
for herself as her sole and absolute property, 
either my three-diamond ring or my two-diamond ring. 

Such of the aforesaid rings as shall not be chosen 

by my said daughter, shall devolve upon my daughter-

in-law NAUREEN MILLICENT KNIBBS (Born Bennett) 

as her sole and absolute property, 
                                3.

 I leave and bequeath the rest, residue and 

remainder of my Estate, of whatsoever kind and 

wheresoever situate both movable and immovable, 

nothungg excepted, to my two children, OWEN OAKESHOTT

KNIBBS, and MARGARET RUTH JACKSON (Born Knibbs), in 

equal shares, share and share alike, as their sole 
and absolute property. 
                                4.
In the event of either of.my said children 
predeceasing me leaving children, such predeceased 
child's share shall devolve upon his or her children 

per stirpes, but in the event of either of my said 

children predeceasing me without leaving children, 

such predeceased child's share shall devolve upon 

the remaining child or his or her descendant's as 

the case may be. 
                                5. 

I nominate and appoint my Son, OWEN OAKESHOTT 

KNIBBS to be the Executor of this my Will and 

Administrator of my Estate, hereby giving and granting

unto him all such powers as are allowed in Law, 

especially the Power of Assumption. 

I direct that my Executor and Administrator 

shall not be required to furnish security to the 

Master of the Supreme Court for the execution of his 

duties as such. 
                                6. 

LASTLY I declare the aforegoing to be and 

contain my Last Will and Testament, desiring that it 

may have effect as such or as a Codicil or otherwise 

in such, manner as may be found to consist with Law. 

THUS DONE AND SIGNED by me in the presence 

of the subscribing witnesses, all being present 
at the same time together, at EAST LONDON, Cape 
Province, on this the 10th day of SEPTEMBER, in the 
year of Our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and 
Sixty-Three (1963.).
