My Knibbs connection is a Sarah Knibbs who married a William Parish in Evenley, Northants in 1804. She apparently came from Oakley in Buckinghamshire and appears again on the burial register for Evenley age 35 in 1820. They had six children in the meantime but I have no other information about her.

Would love to hear whether she does fit but having checked your site I don't think so. You can add her to your unknown ones !

I lived in the area in the 1950's and seem to remember a shoe shop or shoe repairers in Brackley called Knibbs but old age may be addling my brain.

We have a reasonably large contingent of Knibbs' in the province of Saskatchewan. I know that my line has lived on the Canadian prairies for at least 4 generations. I believe our line firest settled in Ontario, Canada. Very interesting site and i will pass it on to members of the family that have more information than myself. I think we have some light to shine on the Canadian Knibbs descendant list you have compiled for i saw nothing of the prairie Knibbs'.

I have little information on my g-g-grandfather William Knibbs who was married to Elizabeth Robins, except that they possibly lived in Scotland and had a son, my g-grandfather William Henry Knibbs who was born approx 1869 somewhere Scotland. He married Margaret Hawthorn on 13 March 1909 in Motherwell, Scotland. They had a son, my grandfather, William Henery Knibbs who was born in Motherwell on 12 May 1909. A few years later the family moved to Hamilton, Scotland where another son, John Knibbs was born on 18 March 1912. The family moved to Montreal, Canada sometime after 1912 (to my knowledge, possibly without John). Your help would be appreciated.

I live in Australia and I now very little about my Knibbs family tree. My father is very hesitant to talk about his family's history and generally doesn't discuss it. My uncle (his only living sibling) has terminal cancer.

Your website has renewed my interest in tracing the Knibbs family line here in Australia before this priceless information is lost forever.

My great-grandmother was Florence Knibbs from Goochland Co., Va. I have no information on her other than she was from there and buried there. I believe her middle name was 'Smith'. That is on my grandmothers' death certificate, whether that was her middle name or a previous married name, I don't know. As you see, I need help!

I came across a Nic.Knip straat in Holland recently, I believe it's named after a Dutch painter. I seem to remember one of my relations saying that we were from a family called Knip or Knipe that were originally based in mainland Europe.
