Notes for Albert Edward KNIBBS:

Also known as: Albert Owen

I am told that Albert's surname is quite probably OWEN and not KNIBBS (as it was given in the 1901 census return). The census shows that he was aged 3 at the time.

I believe Albert Edward Owen was born q1/1898 at Paddington District, London as The Yorkshire Regiment memorial web site shows his place of birth as Paddington.
The 1901 census gave his place of birth as Harefield so I do wonder if perhaps Albert was born q4/1899 in the Uxbridge District of Middlesex, which includes Harefield.
