SMALLWOOD-KNIBBS Mr Harry Smallwood, son of late J Smallwood and of Mrs Smallwood. Welles Street Sandbaclh, was married at the Sandbach St Mary’s Church, Saturday to Miss Doris Knibbs, second daughter of Mr Mrs J. Knibbs of Malkins Bank. The Rev. C. E. Plummer officiated. Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress of pink satin beaute with wreath and veil. She had a bouquet of tea roses. Miss Gwennie Knibbs (sister of the bride) and Miss Winnie Smallwood (sister of the bridegroom) were the bridesmaids. They were attired in pale blue taffeta dresses and haloes of forget-me-nots Their bouquets were of sweet peas. Handbags were the gifts the bridegroom. Mr C. Smallwood was the best man and Mr J. Smallwood the groomsman. After the reception at the home of the bride the couple left for Blackpool for the honeymoon.

MR H. SMALLWOOD MISS D. KNIBBS.
The Rev. C. E. Plummer performed the ceremony at the wedding at St. Mary's Church on Saturday, of Mr. Harry Smallwood, of Foden's office staff. and son of the late Mr. Jas. Smallwood. Welles-street (who was one of the first reservists to leave Sandbach, at the outbreak of the War), and of Mrs. Smallwood, and Miss Doris Knibbs, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Knibbs. Malkins Bank. The bride. who was given away by her father. was attired in pink satin beauti with a wreath of orange blossom and a Brussels lace veil. She had a bouquet of tea roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Gwennie Knibbs (sister of the bride) and Miss Winnie Smallwood (sister of the bridegroom ) , wore dresses of pale blue taffeta and haloes of forget-me-nots. They had bouquets of sweet peas. and their handbags were the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Clifford Smallwood was best man, and Mr. J. Smallwood groomsman. A reception was held at Malkins Bank, after which the couple left for Blackpool. the bride travelling In a brown marocain dress and a moleskin coat, the gift of the bridegroom. From staff and foreman at Messrs. Foden the bridegroom received a clock and an eiderdown.
