Notes for Ivor NICHOLLS:

I believe Ivor and his wife Lily emigrated to Australia in September, 1968 under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme. The sailed on the ship Southern Cross from Southampton to Freemantle, departing on 1 September 1968. Prior to emigrating, they lived at 34 Grove Road, Windsor, Berkshire, England.

See records of Ivor's emigration in the Australian National archives.

We can see from Ivor's application, that they applied 16 years earlier to emigrate to Australia but withdrew their application once they realised that Lily's father, Thomas Frederick Knibbs, couldn't go with them.

We know that after they emigrated in 1968, they did eventually return live in England.

Ivor died in the Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot, Berkshire.
