On April 3, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Northampton, Craftsman John Tait (R.E.M.E.) eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Tait, 62, Maughan Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, to Bertha (Cis) Knibbs, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Knibbs, 68, Freehold Street, Northampton.

I believe Bertha was a member of The Guild of Light Hearts which was an amateur dramtic group in Northampton. If not this Bertha, then it would have been her mother.
The Northampton Chronicle and Echo - 26 September 1929, reported the following event:
GUILD OF LIGHT HEARTS.
A FARCE AND AN OPERETTA IN ST. SEPULCHRE'S SCHOOLROOM. The members of the Guild of Light Hearts, who have accomplished so much useful work in connection with the church of the Holy Sepulchre. Northampton, performed an operetta and a farce in Barrack-road Schoolroom on Wednesday evening.
Proceeds were in aid of missions abroad, and the hall was well filled. "Uncle Joseph," a one act farce, concerned the troubles of a much henpecked husband. He invents a rich Uncle Joseph as an excuse for his absences from home, but his horror may be imagined when a telegram arrives to say that Uncle Joseph is about to pay a visit!
A very gallant Robin Hood was presented by Tom Leach in " Maid Marion and Robin Hood," the words of which were composed by Julia M. James and set to music by G. H. Garside.
Edna Whymant had most fittingly been chosen re the beautiful Maid Marion. whose charms were rivalled by the Sheriff's pretty danter, Muriel Bradshaw. The Sheriff and his demo were well Played by George Willis and Nora Hitchcock. All the performers in this light operetta maybe commended on a charming production.
The other performers were. Tonm Brooke, Fred Mawby, Syd Ridgway, Len Mawby, Jock Ridley, Bertha Knibbs, Molly Cochran, Envis Banks, M. Hater, I. Whyman, C. Hunch, G. Mawby, C. Winter , G. Ridley, I. Jennings, E. Isord, M. Humplines, H. Bedford, N. Bedford, M. Burbidge, V. Attwell, B. Bradshaw, l. Ashby, D. Seamark, A. Marvesley, Cecil Coles, Ernest Sherwood, Cyril Watson, and Bert Leom. Miss Ethel Hill end Mr. C. Willis supervised the production, and the costumes were made by the performers.
