Notes for Charles KNIBBS:

It seems quite likely that it was this Charles Knibbs who is mentioned in an article headed "Teachers and Football" which relates the Schoolboy Association Football in England, 1885-1915. My understanding of it is that a team called the "Old Londonians" had a player named C Knibbs, a teacher who had trained in Cheltenham Training College, and at that time, working at Hackford Road School.

So from this, I'm guessing that Charles met Maud when he was studying in Cheltenham, her home town.
