__________

I believe he was married to Mary J Clarke. We see her as a widow in 1880 with their daughter Clara. However, I suspect he never married Ida Pike, despite having children with her. After Henry died, she could be seen living with a man named Paul L Pike.
__________

The record for the birth of his son, Charles H Knibbs in 1878, stated that Henry was born in Newmarket, New Hampshire.
__________

From the Newburyport Daily Herald, May 20th , 1873:

Knibbs, David Roach and and John Plunkett, all of Haverhill, were sentenced upon complaints appeal cases, for violation of the liquor law, to severally pay a fine of $10 and costs of $12.50 and recognise with sureties in the sum of $500 each not to violate the law relating to intocicating liquers for one year.

Notes for Ida C PIKE:

So far as I can make out, Henry and Ida never married. When their daughter Lena died, her parents were listed as Henry Knibbs and Ida Pike.
__________

Henry died somewhen before 1880, and in 1880 we see Ida and their daughter Sarah Knibbs, living with a Paul Pike at Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts:
Paul L Pike Head Mar 47 Massachusetts
Ida E Pike Wife 28 Keeping House New Hampshire
Benjamin J Pike Son 15 Bakery Massachusetts
Edward S Pike Son 9 Massachusetts
Sarah H Knibbs Daughter-in-Law 9 months Massachusetts

Ida is listed as Paul's wife but I suspect that's wrong. He may well have been an older brother.

Notes for Sarah H KNIBBS:

We see Sarah in 1880 as an infant of 9 months, living with who appear to be her grandparents at Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts:
Paul L Pike Head Mar 47 Massachusetts
Ida E Pike Wife 28 Keeping House New Hampshire
Benjamin J Pike Son 15 Bakery Massachusetts
Edward S Pike Son 9 Massachusetts
Sarah H Knibbs Daughter-in-Law 9 months Massachusetts

It's a little confusing as Ida E Pike above is the same age as Sarah's mother, Ida C Pike. I wonder if perhaps her age has been transcribed incorrectly, or alternatively, if she was Paul Pike's second wife.
