Notes for Richard KNIBBS:

I was told by his grandson Raymond Knibbs that Richard was committed to mental care at Kings Heath after being buried under the rubble of the bombing of Miller Street Depot in 1942(?). He suffered from brain damage and was deemed insane, but not dangerously so. He died in care.

Richard appears in the 1901 census aged 20, living at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.

There was a family story that Richard was involved in the theft of the FA Cup from a jewellers in Aston after Aston Villa won it in 1895. He died without ever revealing if there was any truth behind it.
