James M. Hawkins
Hawkins, James M. MALONE, N.Y. James M. Hawkins, 59, of Malone, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt. He had been a patient there since May 26. Born in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Edgar E. and Mary F. Egle Hawkins. On July 13, 1974, he was united in marriage to the former Marlene Everett in Springfield, Va. She survives. James was employed by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a revenue officer for over 20 years. He retired in 2005, because of his health. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his Chrysler Crossfire, feeding and watching birds, playing the guitar and listening to music and especially spending time with his family and friends. Along with his wife, Marlene, he is survive by his parents, Edgar and Mary Hawkins of Charlestown, W.Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Michele Hawkins of Stafford, Va. and Neil and
Tiffany Hawkins of Malone; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Jannie Hawkins and Joseph and Martha Hawkins, all of Woodbridge, Va.; and two grandchildren, Dalton and Matthew Hawkins. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in his memory to the Franklin Academy Music Department. Arrangements are
