Group Net Funds For Boy's Heart Surgery
Crescent - Community groups in the area are going to the aid of Rodeny Williamson, 15, son of Mrs. Esther Williamson of Beech Road, West Crescent. Rodney needs a major heart operation.
A student at Shenendehowa central school, Rodney has been bothered by shortness of breath and other symptoms for many years. The condition worsened last spring and the family doctor rushed the boy to Albany Hospital, where an exploratory operation was made. Hospital physicians determined the need for a delicate heart operation and a heart specialist from Philadelphia is scheduled to perform the operation soon.
Meanwhile the boy is back in school., living as normnal a life as possible.
Organisations in the community have held special events and donated proceeds to the "Rodney Williamson Operation Fund".
Members of Boy Scout Troop 45, of which Rodney is a member, donated $125 to the fund. The Auxilliary of the West Cresent Volunteer Fire Co.turned over the prioceeds of a food sale.
The Town of Halfmoon Youth Committee held a record dance in the town hall in Clifton Park under the direction of Jesse T. DeVoe, Chairman. The sum of $120 was donated to the fund.

Nyack Accepts Rodney Williamson
Elnora - Rodney Williamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hillebrandt, R 1, Waterford. has been accepted at Nyack College. He plans to go into the missionary field.
Rodney participated in then activities at the Shenendehowa Central School: J.V, baseball manager, Shen-Aides and Bible Club.

Leonard was honorably discharged recently after four years in the Navy the last two years were spent in Japan where his daughter. Erika, was born. Erika met her relatives for the first time at the reunion. Mr. Hillebrandt's sister, Mrs. Martha Stilson, Troy and Mrs, Lena Nelson, were guests.
