BOY CUT ON TEMPLE.
Albert Drescher, 5, of 10 Mechanic Street, was taken from his home to St. Mary's Hospital yesterday afternoon in a police radio car by Patrolmen Charles Burns and Raymond Hogan and treated for a cut on the right temple which, police reported, he suffered when struck by a stone in front of his home. He was treated at the hospital and discharged.

From the Times Record, Troy, 28 September 1964:
ACCIDENT ON BRIDGE—Four persons were injured, one hospitalized. in a two car trash Saturday night on the towns Street Bridge. A vehicle operated by John Sttefel. 21, of 143 1st St. was struck by an auto driven by Len Mercier, 61, of 304 4th Ave, who was held at the Leonard Hospital with facial cuts and a chest injury. Hurt, besides the two drivers, were Mrs. Stiefel, 23, and Albert Drescher, 18, of 110 Mechanic St. Both suffered back injuries. Stiefel sustained a neck injury. The four were conveyed to the hospital via the Ambulance Service Corp.

Court OKs Accident Claim
Award has been approved in Supreme Court for Rensselaer County in settlement of a claim on behalf of a Troy youth injured in an auto accident. An award of $900 was authorized by Justice Lawrence H. Cooke in settlemen of claims of Albert Drescher, 19-year-old son of Mrs. Jane Drescher of 10 Mechanic St., who was injured in an accident on the Congress Street Bridge Sept. 26 last year. The Drescher youth was passenger in a car owned and operated by John Steifel and the claims were against Leo Mercier as owner and driver of another car which struck it. He was given emergency treatment at Leonard Hospital and was attend by Dr. John J. Pohl for back sprain and sprain and contusions of the knee.

Man Suffers Leg Injury
Albert Drescher, 21, of 101 Mechanic St., was treated at St. Mary's Hospital early today for an injury to the right leg which, pollce said, he claimed he suffered when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle at Mill and Erie Streets. Drescher told Patrolmen John T. Butler and Thomas O'Brien of the radio patrol he had alighted from a bus and was crossing the street when he was struck by the machine that was traveling west on Mill Street. Dets. John F. Hourigan and Peter P. Durkee also investigated the accident.
