Neil married Frances Mary Wills in November,1947 at Worthing, Sussex. They had two children: Robert James and Pamela Mary born in the Worthing District of Sussex. Robert was born in q2/1950, and Pamela in q2/1952.

I believe Neil emigrated to Australia with his wife and two children between 1962 and 1964.

Neil's son Robert, was a member of the Royal South African Police Regiment:
No. 9024 - Attested: 26-Jul-1973. D/Section Officer - Criminal Investigation De: KIA - vehicle ambush; 15-Feb-1979; Mt Darwin, (Operation Hurricane) - Obit: Outpost 3/1979.

As above, he was killed in action in 1979 in a vehicle ambush as part of Operation Hurricane in the Rhodesian Bush War
