She died 28 December 1959 in Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Not really sure that Isaac died in 1937. His granddaughter Beverly Knibbs thinks that she was about 7 years of age when he died. Beverly, we know, was born in 1930.

We know from the Fredonia Censor newspaper from May 1923, that Isaac and his wife moved to Warren, Pa., at about that time and lived at 3 Fifth Avenue, West.

In 1930, we can see Isaac, his wife, his son Frederick, daughter-in-law Florence, and granddaughter Beverley, living at Warren, Warren County. I believe this was Warren County, PA.

The 1834 Directory for Warren show Isaac F Knibbs and his wife Ada. His trade was identified as Sheet Metal Worker.

From the Warren Times Mirror Newspaper Archives, May 06, 1940:
KNIBBS Isaac F. 15 Terrace passed away early this morning at his home following an illness of some weeks. He was born in Niagara N.Y. coming to Warren 17 years ago. He was a sheet metal worker by trade and had had employment with several local firms. He leaves his wife and two children, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Reading also one (Mrs. Wilford??????) Niagara Ontario. Funeral services will be held the Lutz Funeral Home at ?? o'clock on Wednesday afternoon followed by interment in the Oakland cemetery.


From the Warren Times Mirror May 9, 1940:
Services in memory of Isaac F. Knibbs, 15 Terrace street, were held yesterday afternon from the Lutz funeral home, Rev. J . H. Clemens officiating.
Bearers were Chatrles Dulker, Earl Samuelson, Clarence Smith, Ralph Knapp, George Young and Harry Bell.
Those attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Knibbs and children from Mt. Vernon, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tuton and Mrs Clara Woodall of Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Leonhart, of Niagara Falls; Mrs. L. Howe of Windsor Ontario; Mrs. F Kruso and Mrs. M. Reading of Fredonia.
Internment was in the Oaklandmausoleum.


From the Fredonia Censor, Friday May 17th, 1940.
Mrs. Minnie Reading and daughter Mrs. Frank Kruse, returned last Thursday from Warren, Pa., afrer spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Nick Reading. While there, they attended the funeral of I. F. Knibbs, a former resident of Fredonia and father of Mrs. N. Reading.

Mrs N reading is of course, Isaac's daughter Alice.

Notes for Ada Down HOWE:

Ada's parents were Edward Howe and his wife, Sarah Down.

Family stories have it that Ada's family is descended from General William Howe, Commander-in-Chief of the British Army in America, 1775-1778. He was born in England on August 10, 1729. His grandmother had been the mistress of King George I, which made him and his two brothers King George III's illegitimate uncles.

Mrs. Ada Howe Knibbs, 84 of 15 Terrace st., Warren, died Sunday, December 28th at the Barley Nursing Home. Services were held in her memory at the Peterson Funeral Home, Wednesday. Commitment followed on Oakland mausoleum.

Dr. A.C. Schults, minister of First Methodist church, conducted fiuneral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Ada Howe Knibbs, 15 Tr=erracestreet. Servic as bearers for commitment in Oakland mausoleum were E.V. Dorrance, C.H. Lias, Harry Decker, C.H. Smith, Sigmund Decker ad Harry Brant.
In attendance from away were Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Reading, David and Thomas readong, Oakfield, M.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. FramkKruse, Fredonia, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Knibbs, Washington, Pa.
